Tackling the issues along our supply chain - Our sustainable sourcing grievance mechanism
We aim to have a positive impact on society and to take responsibility for this, not only in our own company but throughout our entire supply chain. This is why we commit to source our raw materials and ingredients free from deforestation, conversion of protected areas, and free from any kind of exploitation.
It is crucial that palm oil is grown and processed sustainably to avoid deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and exploitation of local farmers.
Whenever a non-compliance of our No Deforestation Peat development and Exploitation (NDPE) commitment is detected along our supply chain, we need to take action. We developed this grievance mechanism to enable any stakeholder to raise a grievance against any party involved in our supply chain.
Our final goal is to achieve long-term transformation of the sourcing practices. Therefore, our grievance mechanism aims to:
➡️ Establish a prompt, consistent and respectful mechanism for receiving, investigating and responding to sustainable sourcing grievances from stakeholders
➡️ Ensure proper documentation of sustainable sourcing grievances and any corrective actions taken
➡️ Contribute to continuous improvement in performance through the analysis of trends and lessons learned
