SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT |
Sustainable development has been described as “caring for the wellbeing of the current generation, without endangering that of the next”*. It’s a definition we like, as we see our work very much in the broader context of society as a whole.

All Alpro products are free from any genetic manipulation |
 |
We put a lot of energy into offering our consumers products that are free from any genetic manipulation. For example, we established an impressive traceability system that goes far beyond the required standards, from the farmer right up to the end product.

Direct sustainable relations with soya farmers |
 |
Instead of buying on the commodity market, Alpro concentrates on its close relationships with farmers to ensure we receive soya beans of the very highest quality. We source our soya beans directly from farms where they have been grown for many years, subject to the usual crop rotations. None of these farms are on land that has been reclaimed or deforested. Our beans are mainly sourced in Canada, China and Brazil but outside the Amazon rainforest.

All Alpro products are produced with the utmost care for the environment |
 |
Respect for the environment and a sense of responsibility for the resources of the earth that feeds us are the driving factors in our production process. So f.eg. all the water that leaves our plants has been treated in our own water treatment facilities. For the packaging, we mostly use Tetra Pak, which can be fully recycled.
